Plan questions
What does public mean?
Anyone can read, study, and copy your material. It appears under your display name in Explore and may appear in search engines. Your email, password, and personal study progress stay private.
What happens to private materials if Pro ends?
They stay private. You can still read, export, or delete them. Renew Pro to keep editing privately, or explicitly publish a material yourself. We never publish it just because your plan changed.
Can I use the API on Free?
Yes. Free accounts can create public reviewers, decks, and exams through the API. Private requests require Pro and are rejected on Free, so a private import is never silently published.
Can public materials become private?
Pro members can change a material’s visibility. This stops new access through StudySoda, but copies other learners made and search-engine caches can remain.
Both plans share this installation’s storage and request limits. Pro adds privacy controls.
